Can you believe today’s the last day of 2021?? It’s been a crazy year of uncertainty, successes, and God’s abundant grace being made so clear through it all.
After not being able to run programming through almost all of 2020, we weren’t sure what 2021 would hold for Pine Brook. As the year draws to a close, however, we can say wholeheartedly that we’ve had an extremely exciting year.
With just a few modifications here and there, we were able to run just about all of our usual Camp programs. It was soul-filling to see our teens return after the year away, ready and excited to worship and grow. Our scrappers have been able to get back to what they love (ask any of them about it, and they’ll tell you 😉), and our Ladies’ Retreat was a beautiful time of fellowship back in March. An exciting addition to our summer repertoire this year was the first two weeks of Family Camp. It was awesome to have families here, both lifelong PBC friends and those who were here for their first time, using the facilities at their own pace and spending time together playing games and having fires.
Our guest-hosting program also returned this year, and it has been wonderful to watch as God uses our space during various retreats and programs. Many of the groups who came this year have already reserved spaces for next year, and we are so excited to welcome them back. Our guest groups are as much a part of our Pine Brook Family as those who have attended our programming.
Fusion Fellowship has met faithfully throughout the year, every other Saturday. We are so blessed by this group gathering to share a meal and fellowship. Seeing such a wide age range come together to support, pray, and care for one another is truly incredible.
This year has not been without its challenges, but we have been so excited to see the way God works through this place and the people who interact with it. God has a plan for Pine Brook, and we are so blessed to have a role in how it plays out. Thank you all so much for your support throughout this year. Your prayers, participation in our programs, support at our fundraisers, and thoughtful messages are such encouragement. We are looking forward to an even better 2022!
